I have been using this TravelMate 2420 laptop for the past 6 months. Extremely good and very comfortable to use. I think this is the cheapest Laptop I have seen so far for established brands.

Hi everyone, this is my first review about the The Acer TravelMate 2420 and I owned this model last month. Hey I think this is the best product that I owned recently and worth much than I expected. Price not too expensive compared to other models in the market. I found many models in the market that are cheaper than Acer but fear for their quality. I strongly recommend this model.Yo.
In my opinion it’s good, but there’s no wireless or blutooth :S ! nowadays these two features are important ..

well this laptop kinda freezez alot and scratches easily does not allow your firewall never turns off of empowering technology and changes resolution almost every 5 mins and beeps whenever you introduce a charger.

It need a new hard drive, a new screen, a new motherboard, a new keyboard and a new fingerpad. Apparently, it costs approximately £280 to repair and you can get a new laptop for cheaper than that. If anyone is looking to buy one, dont buy it, get th Acer Aspire ZG5 Netbook. It is so much better.

I HATE THIS LAPTOP SO MUCH!!!!
Bought this laptop second hand for 50 notes, upgraded to 2gig of mem for 22 notes, wiped the drive and put on a clean installation of XP. Only install the acer driver that are needed and not the other rubbish. Works a dream now. Even better that is insured for full price, bonus!
I have had the acer travelmate for the best part of 5 years now, have never had a single problem with it in any way shape or form. Have recently upgraded the ram to 2 gb, it is extremely easy to do and with this upgrade it works well with everything i do. Cheers acer you made a good 1
