Infra Red devices have proven quite popular recently. You may of seen many electronic diaries and palmtop computers which have infra red? capabilities build in. However could you imagine transmitting 8 bits of data at the one time across the room and being able to (from the devices point of view) decipher which bits are which?

After buying one of these Lenovo laptops for my daughter I can tell you I DO NOT RECOMMEND LENOVO as a brand you can trust.

Ok the good points... there is not any ..except for Windows XP

The bad points:-
cheap build quality, keys fell off, hdd stopped working case cracked and started to fall apart! and not through msiuse either.
Lenovo Software..lots of compatibilty issues..recovery section did not work..

Lenovo after sales care .... absolutely crap. they had to send it to IBM counter parts to work the issues out!

I work with computers and this has to be the worst laptop & make I have ever come across.
