Medion Akoya Mini E1210 Netbook

Medion is planning on upgrading the Medion Akoya Mini E1210 10 inches Netbook, to include better connectivity options, networking abilities, memory and battery life. The netbook will now feature a 160GB hard drive, which was 80GB in the old model. Bluetooth connectivity, which was excluded in the previous version, will now feature in the fresh model. A dongle would provide this facility. A 6-cell Lithium ion battery, which would offer a run-time of 5 hours, is also going to replace the less powerful 3-cell one. A faster wireless LAN connection will be packed into this new Akoya Mini Netbook as well.

The rest of the components and features are expected to be inherited directly from the former netbook. The processing will be handled by the Intel Atom processor N270 1.6GHz processor. The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 is to be employed as well. The operating system that would ship with the small laptop will be the Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3. The DDR2 SDRAM is supposed to have a capacity of 1GB.

The TFT widescreen would measure 10.2″ diagonally and would present a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The renovated product will still carry on the ultra-portable trend with the same dimension of 260mm x 180mm x 19mm and a slightly increased weight of 1.25kg. The connections that would be available are VGA port, Ethernet connection, microphone input, headphone output, 3 USB 2.0 ports and an SD card slot. This latest model will house a webcam too and will feature in black and silver colours. Medion surely seems to have paid attention to critics, for they have fitted the refurbished Medion Akoya Mini E1210 Camera Netbook with features and components that are more in demand.
