MSI GE700 Gaming Laptop

Say hello to the newest member of the MSI gaming laptops, the MSI GE700. This one is truly a beast when it comes to specs.

A 17.3″ LCD device, the GE700 presents full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This high clarity combined with the sound from the theatre-class speakers make this workstation ideal for entertainment and gaming. Plus, the ATI Radeon HD5730 GPU along with its dedicated 1GB of video memory toil to process the graphics. The Intel Core i5 processor handles regular processing. Windows 7 comes pre-installed in the laptop.

On-board the MSI GE700 laptop are – a HDMI port, 4 USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, a D-Sub port and the audio jacks (microphone and headphone). For the hard drive there’s a choice amongst a 250GB, a 320GB and a 500GB capacity drive. There’s provision to pack up 2 hard drives as well, driving the storage capacity all the way up to 1TB. A 4-in-1 card reader is also present for memory expansion. Despite having a Super Multi DVD drive too, this 3.2kg machine looks pretty slim and trim.

WiFi, Ethernet connectivity and Bluetooth are supported. Other features that the GE700 can boast about are its HD web camera, Cinema Pro, GPU boost and ECO Engine for saving engine power. The Cinema Pro feature when enabled, makes the GE700 more suitable for watching movies, with richer colours and enhanced resolution.

The MSI GE700 release date has not yet been announced. Nor have the exact target markets been mentioned.
