The MSI GT740 and GT640 Laptops are the latest hardcore gaming and multimedia devices from MSI. There are plenty of powerful features housed in these laptops, each one more tempting than the other for gamers. Let’s have a look.
The GT740 is a 17-incher and the GT640 is a 15.4” screen laptop. First of all, these notebooks are each home to the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, which promise optimum speed for those power-hungry games. They are both driven by the Windows 7 OS. The best part is the laptops are powered by nVIDA GeForce GTS 250M 3D discrete graphics.
These GT series laptops feature the native Eco Engine Power Management system. This feature lets setting the laptops in accordance with viewing content. For example, there are 5 user scenarios like movie watching, gaming, text processing, presentations and optimized settings for screen brightness. You can even set options like sleep and other parameters related to processor performance.
The laptops also feature the cinema pro technology which lets you activate the movie mode for an enriched movie watching experience. Along with the powerful visual performance, top-notch audio too has been packed in these devices. The GT740, being the bigger one, comes with five SRS premium sound speakers and sub woofer. The GT640 does feature high definition audio speakers too.
