Packard Bell EasyNote DT85 Laptop was recently introduced by the company as a replacement for desktop computers. So you can expect a nice solid heavy workstation. At 3.9kg and measurements of 440mm x 298mm x 41mm, this laptop is not very portable. But ofcourse you can watch movies, play games, surf the internet and more sitting at home.
Processing is handled by the Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor which has a clock speed of 2GHz. Assisting this processor in the execution of instructions is a 4GB DDR3 RAM. The hard drive is capacious with a 500GB storage space. Memory can be expanded with the memory cards too. There is a multiple card reader that reads SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro and XD. The operating system that comes preloaded in this device is the Windows Vista Home Premium edition.
The display is a gigantic 18.4″ one, with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is a widescreen monitor as well. Thus you can watch videos and movies with pristine and utmost clarity.
The NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M with 1GB of dedicated memory works its magic on this screen, allowing for high speed gaming graphics. Adding to the multimedia attributes, is a DVD player that is integrated into this mammoth. There are also HDMI and VGA output ports for linking to other external monitors and the TV. Walking hand in hand with the stunning visual features is the sound system with Dolby Sound Room Generation output and the stereo speakers.
Apart from the HDMI and VGA ports, there are 4 USB ports as well for linking with other gadgets. A 1.3 Megapixel camera comes built into this laptop. WiFi and Ethernet LAN options are both available for surfing the internet, emailing, downloading, uploading and more. Bluetooth is however not supported. But no qualms.
The Packard Bell EasyNote DT85 Multimedia Laptop carries a laptop deal tag of £699 approximately.
