Samsung N230 Netbook to Offer 13.5 Hours of Life

Samsung recently announced their latest netbook, the Samsung N230, which they claim, offers a 13.5-hour battery life, after a single charge. This is the longest life that a netbook has ever delivered.

Samsung boast that the long life of the netbook is due to their proprietary Enhanced Battery Life (EBL) solutions and efficient LED display. However, the 13.5-hour long battery life is reportedly obtained when the optional 65Wh battery is used. The regular battery (32Wh) is said to give a life of 7 hours. Nonetheless, this is a decently long battery life.

Other Samsung N230 specs are quite regular. It has a 10.1” screen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. There’s a choice between the Intel N450 (1.66GHz) and the Intel N470 (1.83GHz) processors. A 1GB RAM is housed within. Even for the hard drive, there’s a choice between 160GB and 250GB capacities. Networking specs include WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 3G modem option as well.

Price – The Samsung N230 price for the UK is £349.
Release – The Samsung N230 release date for the UK has been scheduled within a few weeks from now.
