Samsung R522 15.6″ Laptop is one of those mobile computers which is an optimum combination of elegance, style, performance and design. Glossy black on the outside and a brushed-metal finish on the inside, do make this laptop look classy. The keyboard is well laid out. The touchpad is surrounded by a thin strip of backlight, which glows blue when in use. A single elongated rocker-type button is present beneath the touchpad, for right and left clicks.

Taking a plunge into the internal build of this portable PC – the CPU consists of the Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2GHz processor. A 4GB DDR2 RAM has been integrated into this laptop. The hard drive is a spacious 320GB. A DVD read/write drive has also been built into this mobile PC. Microsoft’s Windows Vista Home Premium OS comes pre-installed in this notebook.

A 15.6” LED back-lit high contrast screen is featured in this laptop. It offers a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The Intel GMA X4500M HD graphics processor has been employed for handling graphics. The audio is dealt with by the Realtek HD audio system. Although this Samsung notebook PC is built with many powerful components, the sound quality is a little disappointing. However, this is not really a major issue.

For internet connectivity, this portable computer offers both wired Ethernet connection as well as WiFi. However, the base model does not come with Bluetooth. There are 3 USB ports, a USB/eSATA combo port, an HDMI interface, a VGA connection, a 54mm ExpressCard slot, an Ethernet connector, a 3-in-1 card reader, headphone and microphone jacks.
