Sony Vaio VPCW11S1E Netbook is a 10.1” screen mini laptop which offers a high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Most netbooks come with lower resolutions. That way this Sony Vaio Mini W Series netbook has an edge over the other netbooks available in the market these days. The display is LED backlit and has the X Brite-Eco feature. The laptop is available in pink, white and brown coloured cases. They come in colours like pink, white and brown.  Sturdy and well built this mini laptop surely can be a great traveling companion.

The processor employed in this mobile computer is the Intel Atom N280, which works at a clock speed of 1.66GHz. It is assisted by a 1GB RAM during processing. There is a 160GB hard drive packed in this portable PC. The graphics processor used is the Intel GMA 950. The operating system that comes pre-installed is the Windows XP Home Edition.

Connecting to the internet can be done at hotspots using WiFi. You may as well use the wired Ethernet connection for this purpose. Linking to other devices, like mouse, printer etc can be done using the 2 USB ports housed in this portable computer. Bluetooth connectivity is supported too, for wireless data transfers. A media card slot for Sony’s Memory Stick is also present on board this netbook.

The battery life offered by the Sony Vaio VPCW11S1E Mini Laptop is about 3 hours. The entire device weighs 1.2kg. Though it is physically very portable, the battery life seems disappointing, when compared to the other netbooks available these days, which promise a complete day out battery life, like the new Nokia Booklet 3G. However, the Sony Vaio netbook is much cheaper than the Nokia netbook. While the former is priced at about £390, the latter costs £500. However, compared to some of the Acer and Asus netbooks, even the Sony Vaio netbook is pricey.
