DELL Vostro V130 ultraportable laptop coming

Dell laptops come in various combinations of configurations. The new Dell Vostro V130 promises to be a zippier performer. We can say that the Vostro V130 is an upgrade to the Vostro V13 launched last year. This compact laptop computer is very slim and infuses styles of the earlier Adamo series.

The processor options offered are Intel Celeron CULV U3400, or Core i3-380UM with 2GB RAM, or Core i5-470UM with 4GB of memory. They come with integrated Intel graphics.

This Dell ultra portable comes with a 13.3 inch anti-glare screen display of 1366×768 pixel resolution, with a webcam and microphone attached too. The hard disk drive is the 320 GB, but instead of it a 128GB SSD is also available. The machine package comes with three USB ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port , a %-in-1 card reader , and HDMI port and Bluetooth 3.0 It has 3G SIM or WiMax and the 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity.

The V130 features the Hyperbaric Cooling System for the processor. This is Intel’s very efficient cooling system, which sucks in air gently to cool the chip. The type of Intel Core chips used here are of the ULV (ultra-low voltage) versions, and they help battery life, but run slower than other standard ones. The machine has Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) as the standard operating system, as is found in the UK. The Windows 7 Pro costs £35/- or so, more.

Batteries are sealed in type and do not give hours of back-up but with a Core i3 it should last around 4 hours. So no spare battery to slot in while travelling. Anyway this is a stylish notebook computer which costs around £850 with the Core i5 system with 4GB of RAM , but with the Celeron CULV on 2GB of memory price starts around £399, which is fair enough for an ultra-portable laptop.
