Toshiba Satellite L550-113 Laptop is a multimedia workhorse, which has a decent specifications set, while also being relatively affordable. The term ‘relatively’ is with respect to the other multimedia laptops available in the market these days.
On the inside, this workstation is empowered by the Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.1GHz processor. It is equipped with a 4GB RAM, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 8GB. There is a 500GB hard drive packed in as well. A DVD drive is integrated in too. Graphics is handled by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics processor. The operating system that this device ships with is the Windows Vista Home Premium edition.
This laptop is equipped with a 17.3” TFT screen which has a resolution of 1366 x 900 pixels. On the networking front, both WiFi and Ethernet LAN provide internet connectivity. Linking to other gadgets can be done using the 3 USB ports that are built into this machine. Unfortunately, Bluetooth is not supported. An HDMI and a VGA port are present too for connecting to external monitors. Speakers are built into this device. There are headphone and microphone jacks fitted in as well.
The Toshiba Satellite L550-113 Multimedia Laptop has dimensions of 416mm x 40mm x 272mm and a weight of 3kg. This makes it more of a desktop replacement than a portable PC. The battery life offered by this laptop is about 2.75 hours, which might be sufficient to watch a movie. The price tag of this device bears about £709.95.
